The Sudanese ambassador held a press conference in Washington in response to the US’s new sanctions on Sudan to stop the fighting in Darfur. The ambassador denied any genocide and says that is simply a matter of opinion.
He reminded everyone that many resources for the world come from Sudan, including gum arabic, a major ingredient in Coke. Then he threatened that with a wave of his hand, our Coca-Cola can be no more.

“I can stop that gum arabic and all of us will have lost this,” he said, gesturing to a bottle of Coke.
The Washington Post posted a video of the conference reported by their Dana Milbank. It is put together and reported very well. See it here (4:00).
