A few weeks ago we saw that someone hacked the new Intel iMac and got Windows XP to run on it. Now all the buzz is about Apple's almost shocking release of Boot Camp, software (now in a public beta) that will make it easy to install Windows XP on the Mac. Apprently this will be a part of OS X 10.5 Leopard. What is Apple thinking?
Some might say that this is going to ruin Apple. Why should developers create software for Mac OS X if now everyone, even Mac users, can run Windows? This is how I felt at first, but if you read through the Boot Camp page on Apple.com, you may see it differently. I'm beginning to think (and hope) that developers would continue or even create more Mac software since now this new incentive called Boot Camp will create a lot more Mac users. OS X is the native operating system. It always will be and people will use it.
